Our family photography packages start at $500 - scroll up and you'll be able to see different packages we offer.

We're usually available for Family Sessions during the week (early morning or late afternoon because right after sunrise or right before sunset are the best times of the day to create stunning photographs), and occasionally on the weekends.

Your family session will be relaxed, fun and authentic.

We’ll focus on capturing the connection that you have with each other and fun times that you all will share as a family.

None of our two family sessions are the same - we get directied by the personality and the rhythm of your family and go with the flow.

We photograph everyone and everything - kiddies on their own and hanging out with each other and with mum(s) and/or dad(s). We'll usually capture one 'posed' portrait to start off with but other than that, everything is about having fun, playing games, exploring the surroundings and spending time together.

The look of the photographs depends on the time of the day, location and the colours of what you're wearing, but whether we have a beautiful sunset light or a moody and cloudy skies, we’re confident that you will love your photographs. 

Because there are two of us, Hanna photographs and Zach captures other angles, assists and interacts with the kids.

Our aim is to come up with natural images that will be timeless and that you will love in the years to come.

Family Session lasts for about 60 minutes and Extended Family Session lasts about 90 minutes. Over the years we've been able to work out that these times usually work the best to keep everyone happy, interested and busy and by the way end up with a big variety of stunning photographs :)

During the session there is always enough time for soothing, changing, feeding and cuddling. We like to keep it relaxed and we never hurry. We don’t have a set schedule, we simply follow the rhythm of your family, the weather and are guided by everyone’s mood.

There are no rules really!

We are based in Geelong and do most of our sessions around Greater Geelong, Bellarine Peninsula, Surf Coast, Great Ocean Road and Golden Plains.

Occasionally we venture out to Melbourne.

First 50km is complimentary, after that we charge a travel fee of $1 per km.

We have an extensive list of wonderful locations such as beaches, rainforests, wildlife reserves, nature reserves and parks in those areas and we would be more than happy to work out a location that will best suit your family.

We like to be guided by your kids' ages, interests and everyone's personalities, as well as the time of the day you choose, when it comes to finding a perfect location for your session.

When it comes to Extended Family Sessions - we like to make sure we are aware of everyone's walking ability so that the session is fun for everyone!

We had also photographed families on private properties, such as farms or in their beach houses - we really are open to your ideas :)

Family sessions with us happen either early in the morning or late in the afternoon.

The times change as the seasons change.

During daylight savings, morning sessions start around 6:30-7:30am and afternoon sessions start around 6:30-7:30pm.

Outside of daylight savings, morning sessions start around 7:30am-8:30am and afternoon sessions start around 4:30-5:30pm.

Even though the times may not always align with your little one's routine, we think that making an exception is so worth the wonderful outcomes.

The light that we get at those times of the day makes all the difference in the look of your photographs, and whilst we can create stunning photographs at any time of the day, photographing you in the early morning or in the late afternoon will take it all to an absolutely next level :)

P.S.
We've had an extended family session with a family of 13, including kiddies as little as 1 year old and as mature as 8 years old, meeting us all ready for their session starting at 7am on the dot, so we believe it is totally doable haha!

The only 'prop' that we bring with ourselves is a blanket so you can swing your kids or sit down and cuddle up on it.

We like to think about our sessions as gentle adventures in the nature, anything bigger than a blanket would slow us down :)

Crying is a way of communicating for babies and for the kids in general so we are not phased by that.

They're trying to tell us that they're hurting, are uncomfortable, scared or something is not right, so together with you we'll look for a solution (usually a feed, a nappy change or cuddles and games are a perfect way to navigate through it and change the vibe to a positive one).

If your toddler is having a tantrum, that is totally fine - after all this is #toddlerlife and eventually the tantrum will pass and at one point or another your toddler will be content and we'll make the most of it :)

We've had so many shoots and some of them involved very shy toddlers or older kids who were afraid of strangers.

But, we take our time, don't force them to do anything and the whole experience is based on having a fun time with their family.

So, as long as you're ready to give your child lots of tickles, play hide and seek or build a castle, we'll join in and before we know it, they will be playing together with us.

Yes!

We both have had our whooping cough booster vaccination in September 2019 (it's recommended we renew it every 10 years), we also get a flu shot every year and we have all other vaccines up to date (actually probably all vaccines there exist because Hanna's parents are both doctors so we can't escape them!).

We definitely do and we love it!

Let us know where you'd like us to come and we'll let you know how much extra it will be - we always try to keep our travel cost as minimal as possible.

Sessions in the Greater Geelong City don't incur any travel costs.

Sessions outside of the Greater Geelong City: the first 50km of travel from Belmont is covered as a courtesy. For over 50km from Belmont, we charge $1 per km.

Metro Melbourne may incur additional fees because of parking/tolls.

Yes - you will receive all the photos minus eyes closed or blinking ones, technically not up to our standard ones or ones showing someone in an unflattering way.

There is no minimum or maximum but on average we deliver 100-300 photographs from a family session.

Nah, that was a 2010 thing haha!

In your online gallery you will be able to download both - low resolution files and full resolution files.

Low resolution is perfect for sharing online due to its smaller file size.

Full resolution files are perfect for archiving and printing.

We don’t provide you with raw images or footage. You probably wouldn’t be able to view them due to the format they’re created in and if you were to see them, they would appear grey and 'lifeless' :)

Editing is a vital part of our style and providing you with unedited images or footage would be the same as a baker providing you with raw ingredients for you to create a do-it-yourself wedding cake.

Great news - yes!

We can do both at the same time. And since we've worked with each other for years, things go smoothly when we work together.

During your sessions Hanna will be your photographer and Zach will assist and use his tested tricks to become friends with your older kiddies :)

If you're booking us for photography & video, Zach will be your videographer - but you won't even notice. He'll have a camera that looks just like the photo camera and is really non-intrusive.

To be honest we're still working this one out and testing what's the best way to go about it, hence the low price for the video add-on.

At the moment the footage we capture during sessions lives as a collection of shots edited to a soundtrack but we're working a way to make it even more meaningful by adding voiceovers by parents & kids. We're still developing this idea and we'll update the website as soon as we work things out :)

It’s totally included and it's so important to us!

We pay a membership that gives us access to a wonderful website with thousands of amazing and properly licensed soundtracks.

We never use popular songs or songs of famous artists that we are unable to license but our music library (musicbed.com) features a lot of extremely talented & up-and-coming artists and bands.

If you change your mind and wish to add videography before your session, just let us know (just don't leave it till last minute because we need to make sure we bring the right equipment with us :).

If you like the style of our works and our philosophy, and if you feel like we're a good fit & you're happy with one of our packages, get in touch - we'll send you more information and answer any questions you may have.

Our availability is limited throughout the year and we only have a selected number of dates available, so please book early to avoid disappointment.

We require a non-refundable deposit of 25% to secure your date.

Once you're ready to book:

1) We will prepare a contract and an invoice.

2) You can review it and either e-sign it or suggest changes.

3) We countersign it.

4) We receive your deposit.

5) You receive our digital Session Guide with useful information + Styling Tips on what to wear for your session.

6) You fill in our Family Session Questionnaire which will help us know all the what/who/when/where and so that we can find a perfect location for you.

7) You can contact us anytime to chat about anything that comes to your mind.

8) We photograph/film your family and we deliver your memories via your own personalised online gallery, once they're all edited for you!

All the videos or photographs included in your package will be delivered to you within a timeline specified in your contract.

This usually is 1 to 8 weeks depending on the month your session is happening in.

Your online personalised gallery will not only act as a place where you can download your files from, but it will also act as an online shop where you can view and order personalised products. It’s pretty much like any other online shop that you’ve ever used, but with your own photographs!

If you prefer, you can also email us and we'll be happy to help you move around the online shop or prepare a custom order for you.

We are not able to match another package or company because our works and their works don’t match each other. We love quite a few other photographers and filmmakers in the region and worldwide but they all have different styles, suitable for different people and different wedding vibes. Everyone’s unique and we take the utmost pride in our work and use our skills and creativity, that we have developed over years of hard work, to capture moments that are supposed to turn into your dearest memories that you will hold on to forever.

When placing a big order, we always try to save you as much as possible by bundling the deliveries and making discounts whenever possible.

We're big geeks when it comes to prints, frames and albums.

We're so fussy and personally have been looking for the best of the best products out there.

We love when our photographs start their new life on print and that's why each of our packages includes some sort of 'physical' keepsake :)

The prints and albums we offer are printed on the highest quality art or fine art paper which means they won’t decompose or discolour with age.

More than that, the style of our editing goes beautifully with the paper we choose to print your images on.

This means that we cannot stand the thought of printing the photographs we've created for you at Kmart or Target, soz! Haha! We promise you will see the difference! If you print them ar Kmart, just don't tell us haha!

Also, our screens are colour calibrated to the style of our editing, so the results in print are the closest they can be to what's seen on the screen.

This means there will be no disappointment with the photograph being too orange, or too green or with the image having less or more contrast than what it originally actually does.

And the cropping... this may sometimes be confusing if you’re trying to squeeze a 4x6" image into a 5x7" print and it may result in cropping important parts of the photograph - whenever you place an order with us, we always check your chosen crops and either adjust them for you so the image looks its best, or suggest an alternative when adjusting is not possible.

We also know the struggle of visualising the frame sizes and looks on your walls. It's so hard! That's why we're more than happy to create mock-ups of frames, sizes and compositions, be it one or five, using your own photos (yep, that's right - you can grab your smartphone and snap a photo of your wall or room and we'll prepare a visualisation for you so you can be sure you're ordering what you imagined!).

Also - if you book a Bump to Baby or Milestones Packages, you'll notice that it's a big saving in comparison to booking each of the sessions separately.

We require 25% upfront to secure your session but in terms of the rest of the payment you can tell us what's your ideal scenario (number of installments and how you'd like them spread out) and we will do our best to accommodate your request :)
