I'm usually available for Family Sessions during the week (early morning or late afternoon because right after sunrise or right before sunset are the best times of the day to create stunning photographs), and on the weekends.

Your family session will be relaxed, fun and natural.

I’ll focus on capturing the connection that you have with each other and fun times that you all will share as a family.

None of the two family sessions are the same - I get directied by the personality of each family member, and the rhythm of your family and go with the flow.

I photograph everyone and everything - kiddies on their own and hanging out with each other and with mum(s) and/or dad(s). I'll usually capture one 'posed' portrait to start off with but other than that, everything is about having fun, playing games, exploring the surroundings and spending time together.

The look of the photographs depends on the time of the day, location and the colours of what you're wearing, but whether we have a beautiful sunset light or a moody and cloudy skies, I'm confident that you will love your photographs. 

My aim is to come up with natural images that will be timeless and that you will love in the years to come.

Family Session lasts for about 60 minutes and Extended Family Session lasts about 90 minutes. Over the years I've been able to work out that these times usually work the best to keep everyone happy, interested and busy and by the way end up with a big variety of stunning photographs :)

During the session there is always enough time for soothing, changing, feeding and cuddling. I like to keep it relaxed and we never hurry. I don’t have a set schedule, I simply follow the rhythm of your family, the weather and are guided by everyone’s mood.

Mostly on the Bellarine Peninsula's beaches or bush!

I'm based in St Leonards and over the years I've come to know all the best spots that offer stunnings views, beautiful light and are easy to navigate around.

I had also photographed families on private properties, such as farms or in their beach houses which I'm open to if that's your preference.

Family sessions with me happen either early in the morning or late in the afternoon.

The times change as the seasons change.

During daylight savings, morning sessions start around 6:30-7:30am and afternoon sessions start around 6:30-7:30pm.

Outside of daylight savings, morning sessions start around 7:30am-8:30am and afternoon sessions start around 4:30-5:30pm.

Even though the times may not always align with your little one's routine, I think that making an exception is so worth the wonderful outcomes. I never regret skipping the nap or extending it when it comes to my little one and it's always been worth it!

The light that we get at those times of the day makes all the difference in the look of your photographs, and whilst we can create stunning photographs at any time of the day, photographing you in the early morning or in the late afternoon will take it all to an absolutely next level :)

P.S.
We've had an extended family session with a family of 13, including kiddies as little as 1 year old and as mature as 8 years old, meeting us all ready for their session starting at 7am on the dot, so we believe it is totally doable haha!

The only 'prop' that I bring with myself is a blanket so you can swing your kids or sit down and cuddle up on it. For little toddlers I bring a rattle or a ball to use as a 'novelty item' if needed! :)

I like to think about the sessions as gentle adventures in the nature, anything bigger than a blanket would slow us down :)

Crying is a way of communicating for babies and for the kids in general so I am not phased by that.

They're trying to tell us that they're hurting, are uncomfortable, scared or something is not right, so together with you I'll look for a solution (usually a feed, a nappy change or cuddles and games are a perfect way to navigate through it and change the vibe to a positive one).

If your toddler is having a tantrum, that is totally fine - after all this is a normal developtmental phase, and eventually the tantrum will pass and at one point or another your toddler will be content and we'll make the most of it :)

We've had so many shoots and some of them involved very shy toddlers or older kids who were afraid of strangers.

But, I take my time, don't force them to do anything and the whole experience is based on having a fun time with their family.

So, as long as you're ready to give your child lots of tickles, play hide and seek or build a castle, I'll join in and before we know it, they will be playing together with me.

Yes!

I had my whooping cough booster vaccination in September 2019 (it's recommended we renew it every 10 years), I also get a flu shot every year and I have all other vaccines up to date (actually probably all vaccines there exist because my parents are both doctors so I can't escape all the newest vaccines!).

Occasionally I do, however these days I stay close to home to spend as much time as I can with my little one.

Let me know where you'd like me to come and I'll let you know how much extra it will be - I always try to keep my travel cost as minimal as possible, however it has to be worth my time.

Yes - you will receive all the photos except of the ones which are not up to my standard.

There is no minimum or maximum but on average I deliver 60-150 photographs from a family session.

The only version that's watermarked is that visible in your gallery to discourage you from taking screenshots as they're of poor quality :)

But once downloaded, there will be no watermark.

In your online gallery you will be able to download both - low resolution files and full resolution files.

Low resolution is perfect for sharing online due to its smaller file size.

Full resolution files are perfect for archiving and printing.

I don’t provide you with raw images or footage. You probably wouldn’t be able to view them due to the format they’re created in and if you were to see them, they would appear grey and 'lifeless' :)

Editing is a vital part of my style, and providing you with unedited images or footage would be the same as a baker providing you with raw ingredients for you to create a do-it-yourself cake.

My availability is limited throughout the year as I currently work part-time so I can be with my toddler for majority of the time, and I only have a selected number of dates available, so please book early to avoid disappointment.

I require a non-refundable deposit of to secure your date.

Once you're ready to book:

2) Follow the steps: pay the deposit, fill in the questionnaire & sign the contract.

3) I will confirm your booking and receive the deposit.

4) You receive my digital Session Guide with useful information + Styling Tips on what to wear for your session.

5) You can contact me via email anytime if you have any questions.

6) I photograph your family and deliver your images via your own personalised online gallery, once they're all edited for you!

All the photographs included in your package will be delivered to you within a timeline specified in your contract.

This usually is 1 to 16 weeks depending on the month your session is happening in.

Chat to your partner, ask them to read through the guide.

And most importantly, chat to your kids (if they're old enough to understand :) and let them know you all will be going on a fun adventure with Hanna and I'll be taking photos/playing with you all so that you have lovely memories to look back on :)

You can do it independtly using your full resolution files, or if you would like to use the professional photo lab which I use for myself & all my clients, please get in touch and I'll provide you with more information.

I am not able to match another package or company because my works and their works don’t match each other. I love quite a few other photographers in the region and worldwide but they all have different styles, suitable for different people. Everyone’s unique and I take the utmost pride in my work and use my skills and creativity, that I have developed over years of hard work, to capture moments that are supposed to turn into your dearest memories that you will hold on to forever.

I'm a bit geek when it comes to prints, frames and albums.

Over the years I have been looking for the best of the best products out there.

The prints and albums I offer are via a professional photo lab based in Australia. They're printed on the highest quality art or fine art paper which means they won’t decompose or discolour with age.

More than that, the style of my editing goes beautifully with the paper I choose to print your images on.

This means that I cannot stand the thought of printing the photographs I've created for you at Kmart or Target, soz! Haha! I promise you will see the difference!

If you print them at Kmart, just don't tell us haha! And they will look lifeless and colourless - I tested it!

Also, my screen is colour calibrated to the style of my editing, so the results in print are the closest they can be to what's seen on the screen.

This means there will be no disappointment with the photograph being too orange, or too green or with the image having less or more contrast than what it originally actually does.

And the cropping... this may sometimes be confusing if you’re trying to squeeze a 4x6" image into a 5x7" print and it may result in cropping important parts of the photograph - whenever you place an order with me, I always check your chosen crops and either adjust them for you so the image looks its best, or suggest an alternative when adjusting is not possible.

So the answer is: you should order the prints via me and not because I earn money on it (I place a small fee for the time spent ordering your prints) but because I'd love for you to have beautiful professional prints.
