We're usually available for Newborn, Bump to Baby and Milestones Sessions during the week, and occasionally on the weekends.

The session is relaxed, simple and authentic. 

We focus on your littlest one but there are two parts to the session - family time & baby only time. 

We photograph you with your bub and if there are any siblings, we capture all of you together. We make sure to capture some special sibling photos - after all this is a big change in your older kiddies’ lives too!

The other part of the session is focused solely on the baby. We bring our comfy flat  beanbag to every session - you can think of it as our portable studio.
Babies love our beanbag because it’s cosy, soft and we warm it up with our little fan heater. We then photograph your bub as they are, wrapped in cosiest blankety fabrics or if they don’t like to be curled up, we focus on their little body all stretched out.

None of our newborn sessions are the same - your baby is the star of the day and they tell us what to do. We go with their flow. The look of the photographs depends also on your house, your walls and the placement of windows will play a big role in what the photographs come out like. But whether you have a beautiful afternoon light or your house is quite dark, we’re confident that you will love your photographs. 

During the session there is always enough time for soothing, changing, feeding and cuddling. We like to keep it relaxed and we never hurry. We don’t have a set schedule, we simply follow the rhythm of your baby and of your family.

Everything happens in your favourite places. You can cuddle up in your bedroom, living room, nursery. You can walk around the kitchen if that’s your favourite spot. If your kiddies feel like a snack, feel free to feed them. Don’t feel like there is anything special you need to be doing - we love documenting your life as it is and you can think of us as friends coming in for a visit.

Our aim is to come up with natural images that will be timeless and that you will love in the years to come.

The session times vary but it’s usually 1 to 3 hours.

The time depends on the size of your family and your baby’s rhythm.
Sometimes when it’s just mum, dad and the baby, and the bub sleeps for most of the time, we’ve got enough of stunning photographs after an hour or so. 

Sometimes when e.g. the baby needs a few changes, a few feeds and the siblings are hungry or need extra cuddles, the sessions lasts about 3 hours. We never hurry though and make sure we captured enough of beautiful moments and the love between the whole family, before we leave.

Our newborn sessions happen at your home. You don’t need to worry about traveling anywhere, we visit you. 

We recommend scheduling your session before your baby is born as it can get pretty busy when you bundle of joy arrives. The sessions happen usually when the baby is between 5-15 days old as babies are the most sleepy and the most squishy in that time of their life :)
This said, we’ve photographed quite a lot of premies around the 3rd up to the 6th week of their lives and they were still tiny and slept a lot. 

We capture babies as they are - we never use any baby props, little beds, buckets, headbands. We only photograph babies with things that hold a meaning to you - their first teddy bear, the outfit that you wore when you were a baby or the knitwear that baby’s granny knitted.

The only props that we bring with ourselves are the bean bag that the baby will lay on for their natural portraits and a couple of our ivory knit fabrics, which are always freshly washed in a hypoallergenic & grey water safe washing liquid, to use as a cover for the beanbag and to swaddle the baby (if they like being swaddled).

Crying is a way of communicating for babies and for the kids in general so we are not phased by that. They're trying to tell us that they're uncomfortable, scared or something is not right so together with you we'll look for a solution (usually a feed, a nappy change and cuddles solve the problem for the littlest ones).

If your toddler is having a tantrum, that is totally fine - after all this is #toddlerlife and eventually the tantrum will pass and at one point or another your toddler will be content and we'll make the most of it :)

We've had so many shoots and some of them involved very shy toddlers who were afraid of strangers. But we take our time, don't force them to do anything and the whole experience is based on having a fun time with mum and/or dad. So as long as you're ready to give your toddler lots of tickles, play hide and seek or build a castle, we'll join in and before we know it, your toddler will be playing together with us.

Yes!

We both have had our whooping cough booster vaccination in September 2019 (it's recommended we renew it every 10 years), we also get a flu shot every year and we have all other vaccines up to date (actually probably all vaccines there exist because Hanna's parents are both doctors so we can't escape them!).

We definitely do and we love it!

First 50km of travel from Geelong is covered as a courtesy. For over 50km from Geelong, we charge $1 per km.

Yes - you will receive all the photos minus eyes closed or blinking ones, technically not up to our standard ones or ones showing someone in an unflattering way.

Nah, that was a 2010 thing haha!

In your online gallery you will be able to download both - low resolution files and full resolution files.

Low resolution is perfect for sharing online due to its smaller file size.

Full resolution files are perfect for archiving and printing.

We don’t provide you with raw images or footage. You probably wouldn’t be able to view them due to the format they’re created in and if you were to see them, they would appear grey and 'lifeless' :)

Editing is a vital part of our style and providing you with unedited images or footage would be the same as a baker providing you with raw ingredients for you to create a do-it-yourself wedding cake.

Absolutely yes! We never outsource any of our editing work and we hand pick and edit each and every one of your images and your films.

Great news - yes!

We can do both at the same time. And since we've worked with each other for years, things go smoothly when we work together.

During your sessions Hanna will be your photographer and Zach will assist and use his tested tricks to become friends with your older kiddies :)

If you're booking us for photography & video, Zach will be your videographer - but you won't even notice. He'll have a camera that looks just like the photo camera and is really non-intrusive.

To be honest we're still working this one out and testing what's the best way to go about it, hence the low price for the video add-on.

At the moment the footage we capture during sessions lives as a collection of shots edited to a soundtrack but we're working a way to make it even more meaningful by adding voiceovers by parents & siblings. We're still developing this idea and we'll update the website as soon as we work things out :)

It’s totally included and it's so important to us!

We pay a membership that gives us access to a wonderful website with thousands of amazing and properly licensed soundtracks.

We never use popular songs or songs of famous artists that we are unable to license but our music library (musicbed.com) features a lot of extremely talented & up-and-coming artists and bands.

If you change your mind and wish to add videography before your session, just let us know (just don't leave it till last minute because we need to make sure we bring the right equipment with us :).

If you like the style of our works and our philosophy, and if you feel like we're a good fit and you're happy with one of our packages, get in touch - we'll send you more information and answer any questions you may have.

Our availability is limited throughout the year and we only have a selected number of dates available, so please book early to avoid disappointment.

We require a non-refundable deposit of 25% to secure your date.

Once you're ready to book:

1) We will prepare a Contract and invoice.

2) You can review it and either e-sign it or suggest changes.

3) We countersign it.

4) We receive your deposit.

5) You receive our digital Newborn Session Guide with useful information + Styling Tips on what to wear for your session.

6) You can contact us anytime to chat about anything that comes to your mind.

7) Before your due date, you fill in our Newborn Session Questionnaire which will help us know all the what/who/when/where.

8) Once your baby is born, you get in touch with us and we schedule in your session (usually 5-15 days after baby's birth).

9) We photograph/film your bub and your family and we deliver your memories via your own personalised online gallery, once they're all edited for you!

All the videos or photographs included in your package will be delivered to you within a timeline specified in your contract.

This usually is 2 to 8 weeks depending on the month your session is happening in.

You may be feeling tired and busy settling in your new role as a parent so don’t feel pressured to have your house spotless but keep in mind that if there’s a lot of clutter, it will show up in the photos.

So here is our general advice:

- Clear floors and surfaces of clutter, and remove any items you don’t want appearing in photographs. 

- Make beds, and generally clean your home - only if you feel like it :)

- Check your side tables/bedside tables. Usually we photograph you cuddling up on your bed and sofa so you may want to stand in front of your bed and see if your bedside tables or side tables don’t have anything that’s distracting to your eye (e.g. red vase, a blue Nivea cream box, very green nose drops, etc).

- Show us around. When we arrive, we’ll ask you to show us around so that we can see which of the rooms would be the best to take photos in. We will usually select rooms with plenty of natural light for our photography. Even if a space looks uninteresting to you, please show it to us as it may be perfect in terms of light and space :)

Your online personalised gallery will not only act as a place where you can download your files from, but it will also act as an online shop where you can view and order personalised products. It’s pretty much like any other online shop that you’ve ever used, but with your own photographs!

We are not able to match another package or company because our works and their works don’t match each other. We love quite a few other photographers and filmmakers in the region and worldwide but they all have different styles, suitable for different people and different wedding vibes. Everyone’s unique and we take the utmost pride in our work and use our skills and creativity, that we have developed over years of hard work, to capture moments that are supposed to turn into your dearest memories that you will hold on to forever.

When placing a big order, we always try to save you as much as possible by bundling the deliveries and making discounts whenever possible.

We're big geeks when it comes to prints, frames and albums.

We're so fussy and personally have been looking for the best of the best products out there.

We love when our photographs start their new life on print and that's why each of our packages includes some sort of 'physical' keepsake :)

The prints and albums we offer are printed on the highest quality art or fine art paper which means they won’t decompose or discolour with age.

More than that, the style of our editing goes beautifully with the paper we choose to print your images on.

This means that we cannot stand the thought of printing the photographs we've created for you at Kmart or Target, soz! Haha! We promise you will see the difference! If you print them ar Kmart, just don't tell us haha!

Also, our screens are colour calibrated to the style of our editing, so the results in print are the closest they can be to what's seen on the screen.

This means there will be no disappointment with the photograph being too orange, or too green or with the image having less or more contrast than what it originally actually does.

And the cropping... this may sometimes be confusing if you’re trying to squeeze a 4x6" image into a 5x7" print and it may result in cropping important parts of the photograph - whenever you place an order with us, we always check your chosen crops and either adjust them for you so the image looks its best, or suggest an alternative when adjusting is not possible.

We also know the struggle of visualising the frame sizes and looks on your walls. It's so hard! That's why we're more than happy to create mock-ups of frames, sizes and compositions, be it one or five, using your own photos (yep, that's right - you can grab your smartphone and snap a photo of your wall or room and we'll prepare a visualisation for you so you can be sure you're ordering what you imagined!).
